Anywho; at the moment my internet is extremely laggish, and it's taking forever to load a single page. Just recently, I was browsing EHQ, and decided that I might as well take a 'look-see' at Shinyshell as well while I was at it.

Now, to the point; I noticed that Shinyshell's pages load much faster than EHQ's in general. Is there any particular reason why this might be happening?

(This question is pointed mainly at Electron, seeing as he works and EHQ and, I don't know.. this is his site?)

Well there are significantly less integrated features here, you should understand that. I don't even have a PM system yet.

Moreover, I had the bonus of being able to design the db schema myself so it's optimised for queries (for EHQ v3 we had to use the same tables from the prior version, for simple reverse compatibility - so v2 could stay online, and so we wouldn't have to lose any data - while coding the site last year).

Finally I use Python invoked over FCGI, which I read is ostensibly the fastest popular SS-scripting language language, in front of Perl, PHP and Ruby. Of course I'm also a world-class programmer

Of course, I always knew that you were a world class programmer, and it does make sense that Python (the language of Gods) runs much faster than other languages.

I will try my hardest to rub these facts thoroughly into Navarr's face.
