Electron, as in your forum system >.>

Just curious, how's it going? I've been checking the forum and looking for posts which have been replied to, and the more and more I do it, the more I lovezorz it. In fact, I really, really want to use the Electron forum system for a community site that Vivi (Kanto Skies) and I have come up with. We were thinking vBulletin, which is about $250 AUD at time of writing, but I actually believe that Electron would be better. So yeah >.> It would be really, really cool if you could actually finish it!

Oh, and one more question, are you writing it in Python or PHP? (I would personally love for it to be written in Python, but that's just me)

And as a request, can you (Electron) please change my username to Nick? I hardly (if at all) use Nickyn00 anymore. That, and the fact that I can't stand it.

Yeah, I got it. Actually, I decided to change the name about 6 months ago, but I didn't tell anyone. The official name now is (and is expected to stay) Sunlight BB (Sunlight Bulletin Board).

I haven't really been making any progress at all on this site (you may have noticed) because I've been either wasting time on other projects, or I've been busy with my studies. So I'm not any closer to making this thing available for download, however since it's you, I can try and tie some ends together to let you run it on your site too. Yeah, vBulletin is pretty expensive for individual users, so you're better off finding other stuff.

I haven't got a plugin system or admin control panel, both of which I had planned. Also, I will need to do some more work on moderator functions too. They were predicted, but there is no interface for this yet. I can code this probably over the next few days (though, not the plugin system). Finally there are some other features I had planned.

You personally would love for it to be written in Python? (What a very strange sentence - I really can't change what it's written in ATM xD) And why? It is written in Python, though.

Lastly, I've changed your name. And thanks for your flurry of activity, btw. :)

Oh, that would be great. But you shouldn't rush -- I don't need it straight away. The process depends on a lot of people, and I can't really see us needing an actual forum system for the next month or so - I won't even really be home for the next week. Hopefully in a month you can come close to fully finishing it :D Sunlight BB also sounds cool, and I'll be sure to advertise it! :D

And why I would love for it to be written in Python? Because I guess it /could/ help me learn it, and once I did learn it I could probably tweak your forum for my needs, but also because Python (Shinyshell) seems to run much, much faster than PHP (EHQ).

Yes, I know that's a very bad English sentence. I tend to say "I personally...", but it should really only be "I". (Ohno, I'm going to have to do it) xD
