Well, seeing as this is a web design board, people might actually know something about the browsers they use. So I'm wondering what browsers you guys use, and why?

There's the main five, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera and Chrome. And because this is a web design board I am guessing know that no one uses Internet Explorer as their main browser, for obvious reasons.

I at the moment use Firefox, however I sometimes use Safari 4 Beta for short periods, because of it's integration with OS X, and it's also faster to start up. On Windows I used Google Chrome mainly, because it was fast and I liked the philosophies behind it. Though, I think when Google Chrome comes out on Mac, I'll still use Firefox, because I can't leave the extensions and whatnot, and I also don't like the different look of Google Chrome. At least with Firefox, I can get some themes or something.

Opera. Use Opera. I've always usedit and always will, forever and ever. The new Opera 10 alpha has scored 100/100 on Acid3 test. And it has sooo many tabs - you just have to love it.

I do not know how fonts look rendered in Safari under Mac OS, but it stands that for some reason, any web page looks beyond crappy in Win/Safari, because all fonts look too terrible to behold.

Well, the reason for not using Safari is its name. It's "blesavo" (Lec, would you please translate this word into English because I can't). It's an equivalent, sort of, to ubuntu. I would never use ubuntu. Just try to pronounce it....awful. But try pronouncin Fedora; and Opera, for example. Much better. The best....AROUND!!!! Jeah jar-o!

The fonts in Safari on Mac look normal - OS X normally uses font smoothing to a ridiculous degree, but it does look good. Safari does this as well on both Windows and Mac, so it looks weird for the unaccustomed Windows user.

Opera's okay, but I don't like the way that the widgets, layouts and other stuff is presented, plus the qauality of the widgets and layouts seem to be pretty low, and there isn't much on offer.

Safari sucks with cookies. full stop.

Firefox is pretty, my main issue being that it takes way too long to start up.

Hence why Google Chrome will be awesome right after they release the add-ons thing and get a considerable user database.

WEll, who cares about the widgets? They are few, but they're good (I never used one). But Opere, you see, has something other browsers don't. It's the tabs. You can have so many tabs so that you can't even see the web-page you're browsing. Now, isn't that cool. And Opera is genuinely true norwegian black metal browser, the HQ of Opera Software company beijing in Norway.

At the moment I'm using Chrome for browsing. It runs super-fast, it's super-lightweight, and there are very few, if ever, problems with the sites I visit.

For debugging, I'm using Opera's Dragonfly. It's gotten a lot better than I remember it, so I may be using it more. But also because Firebug doesn't work with the newest FireFox for some god awful reason.
