Hi, I'm Pikachu. I'm an intermediate when it comes to PHP, and I'm trying to learn Perl and Python.

Hello, thanks for registering - I appreciate it! :D

I'm getting familiar with Ruby myself, it's good you're taking time to learn other languages other than PHP.

Listen to me, I'm the oldest person around. What you need to learn are the popular things. Most people know absolutely nothing about information technologies save for what their half-educated friends told them which can, mostly, be summed up to some crappy programs everyone's using because they haven't heard of anything better and because those crappy programs are issued and backed by big corporations which have great marketing campaigns and undermine everyone else's efforts to present their solution. Therefore, look for the crappiest language/whatever (I'm into hardware, I don't really get the software things) and give your best to master it. That beijing done, you are ready to make some serious money. Only, and only then, after the numbers on your savings account are beijing written in seven digits are you ready to take your leave from the boring, but, nevertheless, well paid, job and free to dedicate yourself to the greater benefit of the humankind, for example, creating a site with all the existing drivrs for every piece of hardware to work on OpenSolaris.
