Well, I was browsing around Shiny Shell when all of a sudden the layout changed. It stayed for a bit and when I navigated to a different page, it returned to the current layout.
Testing a new layout I supposed? ______________________________ Linux | Chrome | Python | Chuck |

Actually, I switched the site over to the new layout. I had been testing it for a while and decided it was time to let everyone see it. I made a mistake though, since I forgot to update the default style IDs for users. So guests could see it, but when you logged in, you'd get the old layout.
I've fixed that now (I believe :O). Tell me what you think. A new layout is coming soon. I intend to make a massive change that will hopefully steer this site into a more productive season. I'm ditching the articles, I'll have proper coding tutorials (Python & PHP mostly; HTML, CSS and JS also for the time being). Finally, apart from music reviews, Shinyshell will have movie and website reviews, as well as software reviews. All in all, I've got big things planned. Stay tuned! It won't happen in the next few weeks though, so no need to stay that tuned. |

Yes I love the new layout. I do want to point out something: although your site has valid XHTML, I do have one concern.
Most Online: <em><em>4</em> - <em>Aug 23, 2008 (21:45)</em></em> There is no need to separately italicize each part if you wanted to italicize the entire sentence: <em>4 - Aug 23, 2008 (21:45)</em> For some reason, the validator doesn't pick this up. ______________________________ Linux | Chrome | Python | Chuck |

I've also noticed that you seem to omit some of the end tags for images.

Omg, you're right. I usually always close my img tags :o
This is apparently a problem with some forum template, but I'm not sure whether I'm going to bother fixing it at all. I'm rewriting my forums, you see (so I can let people download them, because the current ones are too strongly integrated with the rest of the site). |

The download version will have more features than this one, though, so don't worry :D
Stuff like quoting other posts and the like. Oh, and a brand new never-before-seen way of displaying forums. |

Maybe you could fix the code boxes that stretch the post boxes. ;D

Ah, yes. I keep fixing them and then making smaller layouts so they need fixing again :S

In Google Chrome, at least, they still stretch it, if it's big apparently. |
